About

Founded in 1878, Ashland University is a private university. It is a mid-sized regional teaching university, historically related to the Brethren Church. The university’s mission is to serve the educational needs of all students -- undergraduate and graduate, traditional and non-traditional, full and part-time -- by providing educational programs of high quality in an environment that is both challenging and supportive. These educational programs emphasize both the importance of the liberal arts and sciences and the need to provide initial and advanced preparation in selected professional areas -- including business, education, and theology -- which enables our students to lead meaningful and productive lives in the world community. Ashland University offers more than 70 undergraduate majors and most of the majors combine liberal arts study with hands-on, real-world experience. Ashland University's 120-acre campus is exceptionally attractive and well-maintained. Campus life provides an array of opportunities ranging from 20 varsity sports to music, theatrical productions, a nationally recognized campus newspaper, and a large variety of student organizations.

Location

University campus is conveniently located in the city of Ashland, midway between Cleveland and Columbus in northeast Ohio.
